With Up to 42 Km/L and 380 Km of Range, the Honda PCX 160 2025 Stands Out as an Economical, Modern, and Accessible Scooter — at the Price of a Used Car. Check Out the Details.

In times of rising fuel prices, heavy urban traffic, and tight budgets, the number of Brazilians seeking an intelligent alternative for mobility is growing. In this scenario, the Honda PCX 160 2025 emerges as an efficient and surprising solution. With an average consumption of 42 km/l, a range of up to 380 km, and modern technologies inherited from higher segments, the new generation of Honda’s scooter wins over consumers not only for its economy, but also for its comfort and competitive price — comparable to that of a popular used car.

The 2025 model reaffirms the PCX’s positioning as a reference in its category, establishing it as the most sold scooter in Brazil for consecutive years. In addition to its urban appeal, it also meets the needs of those looking for a motorcycle to save on gasoline without sacrificing safety, performance, and connectivity.

Honda PCX 160 2025: Evolution Focused on Urban Use and Energy Efficiency

The PCX line was originally launched in 2010 and quickly gained space on Brazilian streets. In 2023, Honda presented a significant overhaul, including a new, more powerful and efficient engine. In 2025, this formula was enhanced with aesthetic, technological, and mechanical updates.

The standout feature of the Honda PCX 160 2025 continues to be its 156.9 cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder OHC engine with PGM-FI electronic fuel injection. This engine delivers 16 hp of power and 1.5 kgfm of torque, combined with the eSP+ (enhanced Smart Power Plus) system, which reduces internal mechanical losses and improves thermal efficiency.

These technical solutions guarantee one of the lowest consumptions in the category, with averages exceeding 40 km/l in urban cycles — with 42 km/l often achieved in real conditions. With an 8.1-liter tank, this translates to a range of up to 380 km, a differentiator that reinforces the appeal of the PCX as a motorcycle for saving fuel with environmental responsibility.

Modern and Functional Design: Futuristic Style and Practicality in Everyday Life

The 2025 version of the scooter maintains the modern design that made it recognizable on the streets. The fairing has been slightly redesigned, featuring new graphics and color options. Full LED lighting remains present, ensuring not only aesthetic appeal, but also better night visibility.

The redesigned seat is now more ergonomic, favoring prolonged use. The under-seat storage accommodates a full-face helmet and other items, with 28 liters of capacity. There is also a USB Type C outlet in the front glove compartment, allowing you to charge your phone during the ride.

The comfortable riding position and the flat floor promote daily use even during longer commutes. The visual, in turn, conveys elegance and modernity, attracting both young people and executives looking for urban transport that offers status and efficiency.

Embedded Technologies: High-Level Connectivity and Safety

The Honda PCX 160 2025 is equipped with a Smart Key (Proximity Key), 100% Digital Dashboard with Good Visibility, Start-Stop System (which turns off the engine when stopped and automatically restarts when the throttle is twisted), and HSTC Traction Control (Honda Selectable Torque Control), a feature that was unprecedented in the category until a few years ago.

Moreover, the ABS brake operates on the front wheel, complemented by a disc brake on the rear, ensuring better control during braking. The rear suspension with two shock absorbers and greater travel improves comfort when traveling on uneven surfaces, a frequent problem in Brazilian cities.

This entire combination makes the 2025 PCX one of the safest, most connected, and most comfortable scooters on the market — characteristics that justify its sales success and consumer preference.

PCX 2025 Consumption: Proven Economy in Tests

The consumption of the Honda PCX 160 2025 is one of its greatest assets. In tests conducted by specialized vehicles such as Motonline, Motor1, and Autoo, the actual results range between 38 km/l and 44 km/l, depending on riding style, weight carried, and topography.

These numbers position the PCX as an absolute benchmark among scooters over 150cc, surpassing competitors like the Yamaha NMax 160 and Dafra Cruisym 150 in fuel efficiency.

With the average price of gasoline at around R$ 5.80 (according to ANP data), traveling 100 km with the PCX 2025 costs about R$ 13.80 — less than many 125cc motorcycles.

Range of 380 Km: Fewer Stops, More Freedom

The 8.1-liter tank, combined with an average consumption of 42 km/l, provides a theoretical range of up to 380 km with a single fuel fill-up. This feature is especially valued by those using the scooter for intermunicipal commutes, delivery routes, or as transport for work and study in congested urban centers.

In addition to reducing stops at gas stations, this range provides greater ease and practicality in everyday life. It is a particularly relevant differentiator in cities where traffic and the lack of gas stations in certain neighborhoods pose logistical challenges for motorcyclists.

Price of Honda PCX 160 2025: The Price of a Used Car with Premium Performance

The public price suggested by Honda for the PCX 160 2025 ranges from R$ 17,950 (CBS version) to R$ 20,350 (ABS DLX or Sport version). With taxes and freight, this amount can exceed R$ 21,000, depending on the region.

Despite this, the total cost still represents less than half the price of a popular new car and is in line with the average price of used cars ranging from 5 to 10 years old, such as the Fiat Palio, Ford Ka, and Volkswagen Gol.

This cost-benefit ratio reinforces the appeal of the PCX as a motorcycle at the price of a used car, but with much more accessible fuel, IPVA, and maintenance costs. The model’s low depreciation also ensures good resale value.

Comparison with Direct Competitors

In relation to its competitors, the Honda PCX 160 2025 remains ahead in the categories of economy, range, and connectivity. Below is a summarized technical comparison with the main rivals:

Model Average Consumption Range Starting Price Power Traction Control
Honda PCX 160 2025 42 km/l 380 km R$ 20,950 16 hp Yes
Yamaha NMax 160 36 km/l 320 km R$ 18,990 15.4 hp No
Dafra Cruisym 150 30 km/l 270 km R$ 16,500 12.5 hp No

Maintenance, Insurance, and IPVA: Economy in All Aspects

The maintenance of the PCX follows Honda’s standard: servicing every 6,000 km, with affordable parts and abundant labor throughout Brazil. The annual insurance ranges from R$ 900 to R$ 1,500, depending on the driver’s profile.

The IPVA costs around R$ 700 to R$ 850, which is much lower than any automobile. These factors make the PCX a financially smart choice, especially for those seeking a balance between economy and quality of urban life.

In a country where costs for fuel, transportation, and maintenance are constantly increasing, the Honda PCX 160 2025 presents itself as the most rational choice. Fuel efficiency, low maintenance, comfort, safety, and a modern look are strong arguments that support its status as the best-selling scooter in Brazil.

It caters to everyone from young university students to self-employed professionals, executives, and even electric mobility enthusiasts who are not yet ready for a 100% electric model.

The Honda PCX 160 2025 is not just a scooter: it is an intelligent urban solution that combines performance, economy, and status in an affordable package. With a real average consumption of 42 km/l, a range of up to 380 km, and a price equivalent to that of a popular used car, it represents a modern response to the new demands of urban mobility in Brazil.

For those looking for a motorcycle to save on gasoline, reduce daily costs, and still maintain a dynamic and practical lifestyle, the new PCX is undoubtedly one of the most complete choices in the current market.

Eu tenho Uma PCX DLX 2023 e faz comigo 39,9 km/litro

Do resto, tudo top.
