Piracicaba Receives Investments of R$ 750 Million from Koppert do Brasil and Lef Cerâmica, Creating 900 Jobs. Koppert Will Build a Biocontrol Factory, While Lef Cerâmica Will Expand Its Production.
On Monday, (25/03), Piracicaba was the stage for significant announcements that promise to boost the local economy and generate hundreds of jobs in the region. The companies Koppert do Brasil and Lef Cerâmica revealed their investment plans in the city, totaling around R$ 750 million in funds allocated for the construction of new factories.

Investments for the New Koppert Brasil Factory
Koppert do Brasil, present in the country for over a decade, with headquarters in Piracicaba, is recognized for producing innovative solutions for pest and disease control in agriculture.

Now, the company plans to build a new biocontrol factory, an investment estimated at R$ 700 million.
This new facility, which will stand out as one of the main producers of this type of input in the Americas, will be built in the Uninoroeste Industrial District, in the Itaperu neighborhood.

Construction is expected to begin later this year, in the second semester, with the projection of inaugurating one factory every two years.
For this first expansion cycle, the expectation is that approximately 400 direct job openings will be created, contributing to income generation in the city.
Lef Cerâmica Will Create 500 Jobs in the Region
On the other hand, Lef Cerâmica, with over two decades of operation in Piracicaba, is recognized for producing high-quality ceramic tiles and finishes.
The company announced plans to build a new factory alongside the Deputado Laércio Corte Highway, with an investment of R$ 50 million.
Expected to commence operations in early 2026, this new manufacturing unit aims to increase the company’s production capacity and meet the growing market demand.
The expectation is that the new factory will generate around 500 direct job openings, further contributing to the strengthening of the city’s industrial sector.
With these two highlighted projects, the city of Piracicaba is preparing to receive a considerable economic boost and the generation of new job openings.
The mayor, showing enthusiasm about these investments and the construction of new factories, emphasized the importance of these enterprises for the region’s growth.
In addition to creating jobs, the projects have the potential to attract new investments and reinforce Piracicaba’s role as a prominent industrial hub in the state of São Paulo.
