Social programs are shrinking in Brazil and reveal a curious fact in 2025: even at their lowest level since 2022, benefits still contribute to the income of 18 million households, demonstrating the silent strength of aid in family budgets and exposing a new portrait of social dependence in the country.
It has four operational units: São Martinho Plant in Pradópolis, in the Ribeirão Preto region (SP); Iracema Plant in Iracemápolis, in the Limeira region (SP); Santa Cruz Plant located in Américo Brasiliense (SP); and Boa Vista Plant, in Quirinópolis, 300 kilometers from Goiânia (GO).
The São Martinho, Santa Cruz, and Iracema plants produce sugar and ethanol, while the Boa Vista Plant is dedicated exclusively to ethanol production. All of them generate electricity from the burning of sugarcane bagasse, ensuring self-sufficiency and selling the surplus.
