Works of the Rei Pelé Traffic Complex in Manaus Reach 95% Completion. Structure Will Improve Traffic in the East and North Areas. Delivery is Scheduled for June.
The works of the Rei Pelé Traffic Complex, located at the old Producer roundabout, East Zone of Manaus, are about to be completed. During a technical visit on Tuesday (13), Mayor David Almeida confirmed that the project has reached 95% execution and is scheduled for delivery on June 16.
Accompanied by technicians from the Municipal Department of Infrastructure (Seminf), the manager inspected the progress of the construction, considered one of the most important traffic interventions in the Amazon capital in recent years.
Project Should Transform Traffic in the East and North Areas
The complex, which will be the largest in the city, was designed to improve urban mobility, especially in the neighborhoods of the East and North Zones.

The structure will feature upper and lower passages for vehicles, including buses and trucks, as well as a deep drainage system to prevent flooding.
“We are in the final stretch of this long-awaited project for the population. The expectation is that the physical part will be finished by the end of May, with the official presentation scheduled for June 16. “This is a project that will transform urban mobility in the East and North Zones of Manaus, ensuring more fluidity and safety in traffic,” said the mayor.
Final Stages of the Works of the Rei Pelé Traffic Complex
During the inspection, the concreting of the penultimate slab of the viaduct was highlighted. The last slab will be finished by Sunday (18), marking the end of the structural phase.
In parallel, the demobilization of the construction site began, allowing for the start of the urbanization of the surrounding area.
One of the highlights will be the installation of a visual element that pays homage to the old Producer roundabout, maintaining the local identity even after modernization.
Technical Highlights of the Project
Among the main data of the project are:
- Slab with 500 m³ of concrete and nearly 60 tons of steel;
- Infrastructure for light and heavy vehicles;
- Crossing of streams and areas with high electrical tension;
- Mobility project integrated with urban growth.
Even with technical challenges, such as wet soil and infrastructure electrical interferences, the schedule is on track. The completion of the project reinforces the Municipality’s commitment to long-lasting improvements in Manaus traffic.
The Rei Pelé Traffic Complex not only promises more fluidity in traffic but also safety for drivers and pedestrians who use this important axis of the capital daily.
