Bacen Contest: Request for New Notice with 560 Vacancies Has Been Sent to the Government. Find Out How to Prepare and How to Apply for the Central Bank Contest!
If you are keeping an eye on public service opportunities, you can celebrate: the Central Bank has confirmed that it sent a request to the government for a new Bacen contest, and the number of vacancies is impressive: there are 560 vacancies distributed among auditor, technician, and prosecutor.
The request was submitted to the Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services (MGI) on May 30 and is now awaiting analysis. If authorized, the new Bacen notice for 560 vacancies is expected to be released to fill positions only in 2026, but the time to start preparing is now!
How Are the Vacancies Distributed in the Bacen Contest Request?
The Central Bank requested 410 vacancies for the auditor position (which corresponds to the former analyst), 110 for technician, and 40 for prosecutor. As you can see, the majority is for auditor, a position that requires a higher education degree and has an initial salary of R$18,033.52 — not counting bonuses and benefits such as a R$1,000 food assistance.

The technicians, who need to have a secondary education, start earning R$7,453.62. The prosecutor position, intended for law graduates with at least two years of legal practice, offers an initial salary of R$24,967.31.
These numbers reinforce the appeal of the Central Bank contest among candidates. In addition to attractive salaries, stability and benefits make the contest one of the most anticipated at the moment.
Why Does the Central Bank Need So Many Hires?
The request for the Bacen contest comes at a time when the number of employees at the bank is well below ideal. Data from May 2025 shows that there are 3,223 vacant positions: 2,614 for auditors, 463 for technicians, and 146 for prosecutors.
The president of the BC, Gabriel Galípolo, pointed out that this shortage already poses risks to the functioning of the National Financial System, as it directly affects the agency’s ability to maintain essential services and develop new competencies.
This scenario explains the urgency for new hires and the request for a Bacen notice for 560 vacancies. The Ministry of Management and Innovation still needs to authorize it, but if that happens, the expectation is that the contest will occur in 2026, giving candidates time to prepare calmly.
Last Bacen Contest: How Was It and What to Expect from the Next?
For those who want to understand what’s coming, it’s worth remembering how the last Bacen contest was. It was authorized in 2023, and the notice was released in early 2024, offering 300 higher education vacancies for the auditor position. The organization was handled by Cebraspe, and the stages included objective tests, essay tests, background checks, title evaluations, and the Training Program (Procap).
The division of specialties was between Economics and Finance and Information Technology, and in both cases, the requirement was higher education in any area. The contest was completed in May 2025, with the 100 approved candidates for immediate vacancies already being called. The Central Bank also requested authorization to call candidates from the reserve list later this year.
Based on this, we can have an idea of what may come in the next notice: probably demanding tests, many evaluation stages, and a lot of competition. And as the number of vacancies requested now is larger, the competition is expected to be even tougher.
How to Apply for the Bacen Contest?
As soon as the Central Bank contest is authorized and the notice is published, the application process is usually entirely online, through the organizing agency’s website — which in the last contest was Cebraspe. It is important to keep an eye on deadlines and the application fee, which usually varies according to the position.
The recommendation is to follow the Official Gazette and specialized websites, as well as the Central Bank’s own portal, to not miss any details about how to apply for the Bacen contest when it is officially launched.
While the notice is not released, the tip is to start studying based on the content required in the last contest and in previous notices, as the basic and specific subjects tend to repeat. Those who start early are already ahead when the competition really begins.
Why Is It Worth Keeping an Eye on This Contest?
The Bacen contest is one of the most competitive in the country and, at the same time, one of those that offer the best conditions for public servants. In addition to attractive starting salaries, employees enjoy benefits such as food assistance, health plans, bonuses, and a work environment renowned for valuing professional development.
The impact that the Central Bank has on the country’s economy makes working there seen as strategic, with the possibility of growth and involvement in projects of great relevance for Brazil. For those seeking stability, good salaries, and purposeful work, this is an opportunity that truly deserves attention.
