According to the text, the deadline for the publication of the announcement for the new Federal Police competition will occur within six months. The positions are as follows:
Delegate (120 Vacancies)
A bachelor’s degree in law is required, properly registered, a minimum age of 18 years, proof of legal or police activity for a period of 3 years, and a valid driver’s license (CNH) category B or higher.

Federal Criminal Expert
To apply for the position of Federal Criminal Expert, candidates must be 18 years old by the date of enrollment in the Training Course. Additionally, a higher education degree in the specific area and a valid driver’s license (CNH) category B or higher are required.

Clerk, Agent, and Fingerprint Analyst
The positions of Clerk, Fingerprint Analyst, and Agent in the Federal Police public competition require candidates to have a higher education degree in any field, and they must also be 18 years old at the date of enrollment in the Training Course and have a valid driver’s license (CNH) category B or higher.
It is worth mentioning that legal or police activity must be proven by the date of appointment, and all requirements must be verified by the date of enrollment.
Another Thousand Vacancies Will Be Announced in January 2026
The authorization for the other one thousand vacancies in the new Federal Police competition, announced in January by the ministers of Management and Innovation in Public Services (MGI), Esther Dweck, and Justice and Public Security, Ricardo Lewandowski, and by the director-general of the Federal Police, Andrei Rodrigues, is expected to be published in 2026, following the decision of the President of the Republic, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
According to Lewandowski, there will be 2,000 new police officers through the public competition spread across the country, which will be essential in combating organized crime, securing national borders, and fighting environmental crime, emphasizing that this measure is a priority for management.
Learn How the Last Federal Police Competition Went
The announcement of the last public competition of the Federal Police for the positions of Clerk, Agent, Fingerprint Analyst, and Delegate, published in 2021, expired in September 2023. Organized by Cebraspe, 1,500 vacancies were offered.
In this competition, in addition to objective and discursive tests, candidates underwent the physical fitness test (TAF) of the Federal Police, an oral test only for Delegate, medical examination, Practical Typing Test, only for delegate, Psychological Evaluation, and Title Evaluation.
Those who were approved in the public competition were then enrolled in the Professional Training Course, which is offered by the National Police Academy. The course lasts about 5 months, totaling 850 class hours and occurs in a partial boarding regime, receiving a scholarship of 50% of the remuneration.
