On this Saturday (11), the official gazette published the notice for the new contest Firefighters PE (Fire Department of the State of Pernambuco). In total, 660 positions are being offered, with 600 for soldiers, requiring a high school education, and 60 for 2nd lieutenant, with a higher education degree, with initial salaries reaching up to R$ 10,855.91, with a work schedule of 40 hours per week.
Who Can Apply for the Firefighters Contest PE?
The Firefighters contest in Pernambuco has been awaited since the beginning of October, when the organizing bank was defined. In the case of Firefighters soldiers, the 600 positions are distributed among 570 for general competition and 30 for persons with disabilities.
Those interested in applying must have completed high school, be aged 18 to 30 years old at the time of registration for the contest, considering this age up to the day before the date when the participant turns 31 years old, a minimum height of 1.60m for women and 1.65m for men, as well as a driver’s license starting from category B. The initial salary is R$ 3,419.88, with a work schedule of 40 hours, subject to special shifts under a duty system.

For second lieutenant, the distribution is 3 positions for persons with disabilities and 57 for general competition. To apply, a higher education degree in any field is necessary, age of 18 to 30 years at the time of registration for the contest, a minimum height of 1.65 m for men and 1.60 for women, and also a driver’s license starting from category B. The initial salary for this position is R$ 10,855.91, with a work schedule of 40 hours per week.
Learn How to Register for the Firefighters Contest in Pernambuco
Registrations will be accepted from this Monday (November 13) until December 13. These can only be completed online, at the electronic page of the organizing bank, which is Instituto AOCP.
On the first day, access can be made from 9 a.m., while on the last day access will be until 11:59 p.m. The fees are R$ 180 for soldiers and R$ 220 for second lieutenants. Payment can be made until December 14.
The application of the objective tests and essay for the Firefighters PE contest is scheduled to take place on January 21, in the morning for soldiers and in the afternoon for 2nd lieutenants, lasting 5 hours. For soldiers, the objective test will consist of 60 questions and for lieutenants, the test will consist of 70 questions.

- History of Pernambuco – 5 questions;
- Computer Science – 5 questions;
- Mathematics – 10 questions;
- Portuguese Language – 10 questions;
- Physics – 5 questions;
- Biology – 5 questions;
- Constitutional Law – 10 questions;
- Logical Reasoning – 5 questions;
- Current Events – 5 questions.
The essay is worth 40 points, based on a proposed theme, based on one or more texts or text fragments. The candidate will adopt an approach line using the textual typology of an essay. Their text should present values, beliefs, opinions, hypotheses, ideas, in short, the axiological or cognitive aspects for this type of textual production.
In the case of second lieutenant, the test will be as follows:
- Foreign Language (English or Spanish) – 5 questions;
- Biology – 5 questions;
- Military Penal Law – 5 questions;
- Computer Science – 5 questions;
- Statistics – 5 questions;
- Mathematics – 5 questions;
- Administrative Law – 7 questions;
- Physics – 5 questions;
- Constitutional Law – 8 questions;
- Legislation Relevant to State Military Personnel – 10 questions;
- Chemistry – 5 questions;
- Portuguese Language – 5 questions.
- The essay will be worth 30 points for this case.
Subsequently, the selection will include the following stages:
- Medical Assessment;
- Psychological Evaluation;
- Physical Fitness Test.
