The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) Will Have a New Simplified Selection Process to Hire 8,141 Professionals to Work in the Final Phase of the Census Process in 2022.
The hires will be for a fixed term of one year, with the possibility of extension. To apply for one of the positions, interested parties must monitor the publication of the notice, which does not yet have a scheduled date.
Available Positions
The available positions are for the following functions:
- Mapping Census Agent
- Coder
- Research and Mapping Agent
- Quality Collection Supervisor
- Telephone Research Agent
- Research Supervisor
The professionals hired for this selection will also work on collecting other research for the institute. The work contract may be extended, but the duration of this extension has not yet been disclosed. The IBGE must justify the need to retain these professionals for longer than planned.

Requirements and Compensation
Full information on requirements and compensation has not yet been released. In the last IBGE hiring selection in 2021, the positions of research agents and mapping and collection and quality supervisors required a high school diploma. The salary can reach R$3,100.
Publication of the Notice
The hiring notice must be opened within a period of up to six months after the publication of the ordinance; otherwise, the authorized positions lose validity. The choice of the organizing company, publication of the notice, and dissemination of the selection rules have not yet been informed by the institute.
Selection Process
The selection process is expected to resemble previous ones, and interest in individual interview tests is expected to increase, as the IBGE has been one of the Brazilian public agencies that has most adopted behavioral assessment methods to select the best talents for work.
