Women Interested In Joining The Brazilian Army In 2023 Must Be Approved In A Military Competition, Like The Ones Described Above
As everyone knows, women are exempt from mandatory military enlistment in the Brazilian Army, as provided by the Constitution. However, they can serve voluntarily as career or temporary soldiers.
For those women who wish to join the Armed Forces, there are two ways for Military Enlistment: through a public competition or by volunteering. However, if they want to pursue a career, they must take a public competition.
Additionally, to enlist in the Brazilian Army, interested women must meet the following prerequisites:

Municipal Guard calls for applicants for a high school level position with a salary of R$ 7,000, benefits, bonuses, and additional payments that can increase earnings, more than 700 positions expected, and participation open to candidates from all over Brazil.

Work at Vale: mining company opens positions in roles such as industrial maintenance, equipment operation, and technical inspection in a new selection process with 206 opportunities, competitive benefits, and strengthening in the areas of mining, automation, and operational safety in Brazil.

Brazilian Army calls for professionals with higher education for a competition with 227 vacancies in the areas of Health, Law, Journalism, and IT

Samu calls for those interested in working one day and taking two days off in a new selection process with openings for mid-level positions, salary up to R$ 4,000, online registration, and opportunities open to candidates from all over Brazil.
- Pass a public competition;
- Be at least 1.55m tall;
- Be a natural-born Brazilian citizen, for Officers;
- Natural-born or Naturalized Brazilian citizen, for enlisted ranks;
- Must not be married or have dependents, for EsPCEx/ESA;
- Minimum age as per each announcement and position.
Routine Of Women In The Brazilian Army
Some Competitions That Women Can Enter To Follow A Military Career In The Brazilian Army
- EPCAR Competition: which is equivalent to regular High School, at the Preparatory School for Air Cadets;
- AFA Competition: for the Air Force Academy, the sector that manages the logistics of the organization and the administrative part;
- EEAR Competition: Air Force Specialists School, if holding a higher education diploma in the professions listed in the announcement;
- EsSLog Competition;
- The Navy Competition (which covers the areas of Naval School (EN), Auxiliary Corps of Enlisted (CAP), Complementary Staff of Quartermasters (QC-IM), Technical Staff (QT), Navy Health Corps – Medical Staff (CSM-MD), Navy Health Corps – Dental Surgeons Staff (CSM-CD), Navy Health Corps – Health Support Staff (CSM-S), Navy Engineering Corps (CEM), Navy Chaplains Corps (CAPNAV), Voluntary Military Service for Temporary Officers (SMV-OF), Voluntary Military Service for Temporary Enlisted (SMV-PR).
