The heavy rains that have plagued and continue to plague the state of Rio Grande do Sul have also brought consequences for the world of contests. An example of this was the postponement of the exam for the Unified National Contest (CNU), which was scheduled to take place on Sunday (05).
According to information from the newspaper O Globo, as of this Monday (13), there is still no confirmed date for the exam, since the federal government is still awaiting a more precise forecast regarding the recovery of Rio Grande do Sul.
The Unified Contest exam would take place in 228 Brazilian municipalities, including 10 cities in Rio Grande do Sul, namely Bagé, Caxias do Sul, Farroupilha, Passo Fundo, Pelotas, Porto Alegre, Santa Cruz do Sul, Santa Maria, Santo Ângelo, and Uruguaiana.

On Twitter, the Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services (MGI), responsible for the selection, emphasized that, so far, there is no forecast for a new date. This, according to the ministry, occurs because there are still uncertainties regarding the logistics for administering the exams in Rio Grande do Sul, which is still experiencing significant instability in the climatic scenario.
Thousands of Open Positions
Known as the Enem of Contests, the exam will have 6,640 positions for 21 federal public agencies, divided into eight thematic blocks. The notices also indicate the intention to form a reserve list with at least double the number of available positions.
The Stages of the Exam in the Enem of Contests
According to the Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services, the evaluation of candidates will occur through three stages. The first stage of the national contest will be divided into the following phases:
- 1st Phase: objective and essay exams, of a classificatory and eliminatory nature;
- 2nd Phase: medical examination (biopsychosocial evaluation) of candidates who declare themselves as having a disability, of a solely eliminatory nature;
- 3rd Phase: verification procedure of the declared condition to compete for the reserved vacancies for black candidates, of a solely eliminatory nature;
- 4th Phase: confirmation procedure of the declared condition to compete for the reserved vacancies for indigenous candidates (only FUNAI), of a solely eliminatory nature.
Finally, the second stage will be dedicated to the evaluation of qualifications, of a classificatory nature, while the third and final stage will be dedicated to the specific training course, of a classificatory and eliminatory nature.
