Captain Jeciane, The First Woman to Pilot the KC-390 Millennium, The Largest Cargo Aircraft of The FAB, Manufactured by Embraer
The Brazilian Air Force (FAB) writes a new chapter in its history with the rise of a woman to the command position of its largest cargo aircraft. The trajectory of women pilots in the FAB, previously marked by absence, now shines with inspiring presences. Since 2003, when the first women piloted an aircraft in the institution, the evolution has been remarkable.
The protagonist of today, Captain Aviator Jeciane Ribeiro de Lima Victório, embodies this evolution by becoming the first woman to pilot the KC-390 Millennium, a gem of Embraer, and the largest cargo aircraft of the FAB. “I never imagined, at least in the short term, achieving such a feat,” reveals Captain Jeciane, at the age of 32, about her historic achievement.
