Incredible Solar Sticker You Will Want to Have at Home Promises to Transform Any Surface, Such as Walls, Cars, Windows, Metal, Concrete, Glass, and More, into Solar Panels

Several companies are developing a revolutionary product: solar stickers that turn any surface into a photovoltaic panel. These innovative stickers allow for generating solar electricity anywhere, without the need to install a conventional solar panel.

The solar sticker we are discussing is extremely thin, flexible, and adhesive, so it can be applied to walls, windows, furniture, and even vehicles. When exposed to sunlight, the photovoltaic cells integrated into the sticker convert that energy into usable electricity.

This type of solar panel represents a technological advancement that makes solar energy accessible to everyone. Check out how solar stickers work, their advantages and applications, to understand why this innovative product promises to revolutionize the way we generate energy at home.

Installable on Any Material: This Is the Photovoltaic Sticker You Will Want to Have at Home

Imagine if there was a much simpler installation alternative with great adaptability potential? For example, stickers that adhere to walls, transforming them into a kind of photovoltaic panels. Well, this idea exists and is called HelioSol.

It is the ingenuity of the company Heliotek, which has developed a solar film based on organic photovoltaic technology, opening the door for the production of solar films that are ultralight, flexible, and ultra-thin.

Weighing less than two kilograms, this sticker is produced in rolls and can be easily applied to different surfaces made from various materials, such as metal, concrete, membranes, glass, bitumen, or others. It is worth noting that for each square meter of a traditional photovoltaic panel, we are talking about a weight between 15 and 20 kilograms.

Regarding its durability and effectiveness, the German operator TÜV Rheinland has certified that HeliaSol has a life cycle assessment (LCA) of 14.52 g of CO2 equivalent (CO2e) per square meter.

Three Use Cases for These New “Self-Adhesive Solar Panels”:

The truth is that, so far, we have seen how you can transform windows into solar panels. But what else is there?

  • On windows, the stickers easily adhere to the glass and take advantage of the sunlight that enters. This allows for generating energy without taking up additional space. Windows receive a lot of direct sunlight, making them ideal for stickers.
  • On walls and vertical surfaces, the solar stickers also work well. Although they receive less direct sunlight than a window, they still generate enough energy during the day. Walls and external surfaces are available on all buildings.
  • Vehicles  such as cars, trucks, boats, and RVs are another excellent application. Solar stickers can be placed on the roof, hood, fenders, and other surfaces. This way, vehicles can be charged with solar energy while parked.

Specifically, the solar stickers from Heliotex mentioned above are available for sale only on sites like Amazon and AliExpress. The price depends on the size and power needed, but starter kits  can be found starting at around 200 euros.

100% BRAZILIAN PHOTOVOLTAIC STICKER: Check the Price and Where to Buy

The Brazilian company Sunew, based in Belo Horizonte, is leading a revolution in the solar energy sector with its development of Organic Photovoltaic Films. The Brazilian company offers extremely flexible and lightweight solar panels that can be applied to any type of surface without the need for heavy structures.

PepsiCo, one of the world’s largest food and beverage manufacturers, has also announced the installation of OPV panels on more than 250 trucks, including in Brazil. The initiative aligns with the company’s goals to reduce greenhouse gas emissions globally by 40% by 2030.

But After All, How to Buy and How Much Does This Brazilian Solar Panel Cost?

To acquire it, it is important to emphasize that the company currently does not engage in retail sales. It is not possible to buy the material in small quantities. To make a purchase, it is necessary to present a specific project for evaluation. For example, if you want to cover the entire facade of a building or equip a fleet of trucks, you must submit the project to the company. Therefore, sales are directed toward large projects and in significant quantities, not currently available for retail purchase.

Let’s discuss the product’s value. According to data provided on the Solar Portal, the cost of an organic solar panel that generates three watts of power is R$ 46. This price may be considered high, given that 3 watts is equivalent to approximately a small silicon cell. To reap the benefits of this investment, it is necessary to have a project that can achieve a return on investment. However, what sets this panel apart from others is its ability to be applied in places where conventional panels cannot be installed.
