Swiss Company Announces New Car That Doesn’t Require a Driver’s License. Delivering 177 km of Range, the Electric Car Without a License Can Reach a Speed of 45 km/h.
The Swiss company Micro, the creator of the cute electric car Microlino, unveiled a lite version of the original model at the Geneva International Motor Show. The version of the model can be driven in some European countries with a moped license from the age of 14 (in Portugal, the limit rises to 16 years), thus making it a car that doesn’t require a driver’s license.
Electric Car That Doesn’t Require a Driver’s License Delivers 177 km of Range
To become a car that doesn’t require a driver’s license, the maximum speed of the model was reduced to 45 km/h, half of the standard Microlino. The company’s idea is to attract the interest of urban dwellers who do not plan to replace their car with another means, but are looking for something more convenient for getting around.
The electric car without a driver’s license has the same monocoque design as its older brother. The dimensions of the model are 2.5 m in length, 1.47 meters in width, and 1.5 m in height. Another advantage is its weight, which, unlike larger electric cars, the car that doesn’t require a driver’s license weighs about 600 kg.
