2W Energy Raised R$ 600 Million for the Construction of the Anemus Wind Farm in RN, Which Will Have an Installed Capacity of 138.6 MW and Energy Intended for the Free Market
Good winds bring another venture to Rio Grande do Norte. The Anemus wind farm, which has an installed capacity of 138.6 MW and is expected to begin commercial operation in the first quarter of 2022 in the Potiguar state, will receive investment for its construction from 2W Energy.

It was announced yesterday (06) that the company 2W Energy structured a financial operation with Darby Overseas Partners and BTG Pactual for the issuance of infrastructure debentures to raise R$ 600 million for the wind project
The construction project for the wind farm in RN will be implemented with the company’s own resources combined with a mezzanine financing of US$ 30 million from Darby and a market debenture, according to Claudio Ribeiro, CEO of 2W Energy.

2W Energy’s Business Plan in the Northeast Wind Sector
The company plans to build four wind projects by 2024 in the states of Rio Grande do Norte and Ceará, which together will have an installed capacity of 1 GW and represent a total investment of R$ 4.4 billion.
In addition to the Anemus wind farm in RN, the company also has the Aracati project, located in Ceará, near the border with Rio Grande do Norte, which has a capacity of 260 MW to be installed and an estimated investment of R$ 1.1 billion.
As part of the company’s expansion strategy, all generated energy will be directed towards commercialization in the Free Market, a sector in which 2W Energy aims to migrate one thousand clients in the next three years.
