Naval Construction: Company Justifies the Choice of Oceana Shipyard in Itajaí
The naval construction industry team also includes Embraer Defense and Security, as well as its subsidiary Atech. TKMS, based in Kiel, Germany, does not have surface ship production facilities, which means the company must take measures for local production when selling its main ship design abroad.
The choice of the Oceana shipyard, specialized in offshore support vessels and owned by the CBO Group from Rio de Janeiro, was the result of economic and logistical analyses by TKMS and turned out to be an “ideal option,” according to a spokesperson.
