Four renowned federal universities are open for subscriptions for the Extension Course in Training for Teaching and Management for Education of Ethnic-Racial Relations and Quilombola School Education. There are 12.250 places distributed between UFSM, UNIPAMPA, UFRGS and FURG, with 100% online classes (EAD).
The initiative aims to train teachers and managers of basic education in the public network in Rio Grande do Sul, promoting inclusion, ethnic-racial diversity and the appreciation of Quilombola culture. Registration begins on November 28, 2024 and continues until January 10, 2025, offering a unique opportunity for professionals in the field.
What is covered in the free course for teachers?
With a workload of 120 hours, the free online course (EAD) is organized into three main modules:

How many places does each university offer?
The 12.250 places are distributed among the four participating institutions:
- UFSM (Federal University of Santa Maria): 3.750 vacancies
- UNIPAMPA (Federal University of Pampa): 1.000 vacancies
- UFRGS (Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul): 3.750 vacancies
- FURG (Federal University of Rio Grande): 3.750 vacancies

Who can apply and how does the selection work?
The course is aimed at teachers and managers of the public basic education network in RS, who have a degree and are working or taking on roles in the area.
The selection will be made based on the order of registration and compliance with the requirements set out in the notice. The analysis and approval of those approved will be carried out by a Coordinating Committee, ensuring a transparent process.
How and when to register?
Registrations must be made through the official website (access here) until 23:59 pm on January 10, 2025. It is possible to apply to more than one university, filling out the application form for each institution of interest.
