Due to the importance of the offshore market in Brazil and the provision for its recovery in the coming years, the Telessaúde institution at UERJ developed the INTRODUCTORY COURSE FOR THE FUNCTION OF HEALTH PROFESSIONALS EMBARKED ON OIL AND GAS PLATFORMS. The course aims to present details about the offshore market, the profile and role of the embarked health professional, in order to prepare health professionals for entering the field.

At the end of the classes, it is expected that professionals will understand aspects such as: what an offshore unit is and how it operates; the basic principles of health, safety, and the environment; how onboard medical care functions; the operation of an aeromedical rescue; the Operational Safety Management System (SGSO) and Well Integrity Management System (SGIP).

The training is aimed at nursing technicians, nurses, doctors, nutritionists, dentists, and undergraduate students of these respective courses and has a workload of 15 hours.
