The Federal University of São Paulo (Unifesp) opened registrations for more than 20 free courses, with online (EAD) and in-person options. And another 18 courses will have vacancies available soon, covering various areas of interest such as digital security to workshops for educators and languages.
Although Unifesp is extremely recognized For its work in the health sector, especially in the management of Hospital São Paulo, located in Vila Mariana, an institution also stands out in other areas of knowledge. On the east side campus, for example, there is the Instituto das Cidades, which houses the geography course.

Focused on the elderly population, the “Connecting Generations” course teaches how to protect yourself against cyberattacks, avoid online scams and use social media to publicize your work and edit videos. Classes are held on the Diadema campus and registration is open until January 23, prioritizing students from the Open University for the Elderly. If there are any vacancies, they will be specifically for those over 60 who register.
Analysis of social inequality in Brazil
This 30-hour course explores the historical, economic and political causes of social inequality in the country. Classes will be held from February 17 to 21 at the Osasco campus. Registration, which is free of charge, can be done from January 20 to February 18, and the selection of the 20 participants will be conducted by the Academic Center of Economics.
Teaching workshop for teachers
Starting on February 1st, the course “School Education: Classroom Workshop” is aimed at elementary school teachers who are looking for new pedagogical strategies. Classes will take place both online and in person at the SP Escola de Teatro, in downtown São Paulo. For three months, participants will reflect on the challenges of teaching and the interaction between teachers and students.
Drug education and harm reduction
Aimed at professionals in the health and education fields, this course covers concepts such as the neuroscience of adolescent behavior and harm reduction practices. With 40 hours of content, classes will take place online on Tuesday mornings, and registration opens on January 30.
Introduction to Spanish: ¡América Latina!
Offered by undergraduate students in Spanish at the Guarulhos campus, the course presents basic concepts of the language and explores the cultures of Latin American countries. With 12 hours of online classes on Saturdays, registration for this edition has already closed, but details can still be added to the waiting list.

Currently, there is a wide range of options, which includes language classes and specific training for educators.
