The State Secretariat of Education and Culture (SEE) announced the opening of the enrollment process for the free English and Spanish courses offered online (EaD) by the Center for Language Studies (CEL). The spots are intended for students from the Public Education Network, as well as the general community in the municipalities of Acrelândia, Brasiléia, Epitaciolândia, Feijó, Sena Madureira, Tarauacá, and Xapuri.
Course Objectives and Structure
The free online (EaD) courses aim to provide accessible language training, promoting the learning of foreign languages in a flexible and interactive manner. Teaching will be 100% online, with synchronous (live) classes twice a week and asynchronous (recorded) activities, including written exercises and video lessons. The workload is structured to allow for continuous learning, using technologies that encourage student engagement.
Available Spots and Offering Locations
A total of 280 spots are available for the free online (EaD) courses, distributed between English (175 spots) and Spanish (105 spots). Classes will be held in the virtual environment; however, students without internet access may use the UAB Poles in the participating cities. Class times are divided between morning and afternoon shifts, according to the availability of each group.

Selection Process and Pre-Enrollment
The selection will be made on a first-come, first-served basis for online pre-enrollment, with spots prioritized for students from the Public Education Network. After the initial period, any remaining spots will be available to the general community.
Enrollment Requirements
Students from the 8th grade of Elementary School to the 3rd year of High School from the Public Network, as well as students from private institutions and individuals who have already completed High School, may enroll. Candidates must reside in one of the covered municipalities and possess a valid CPF to register.
