The Federal Institute of Bahia (IFBA) has launched registrations for three free courses in Salvador, focusing on cultural and artistic training. There are 240 spots available, and registrations can be made until December 15.
If you want to learn new skills, this is your chance! The in-person courses are aimed at young people and adults with incomplete elementary education, prioritizing candidates aged 16 to 29 who participate in programs such as CadÚnico or Sine.
Accessible And Relevant Training For The Cultural Market
With a workload of 200 hours, the free courses offered by IFBA are an amazing opportunity for those who want to qualify in high-demand artistic and cultural areas. Classes will take place between January and April 2025, from Monday to Friday, from 6 PM to 10 PM, and occasionally on Saturdays.

Become an expert in Libras without leaving home and for free at the Federal Institute: online courses, each with 40 hours, certificate in 8 days, basic and intermediate levels, registrations open until 2026.

USP opens 3 thousand spots in a free, 100% online course in the nursing area, with a focus on psychoactive substances, and a recognized certificate at no cost for professionals and students.

Take an engineering course WITHOUT LEAVING home and for free! Universities open enrollment for an online Engineering course recognized by the MEC.
Partner locations, such as Colégio Estadual Batista Neves and Teatro Boca de Brasa, in Cajazeiras, will host these trainings, ensuring an adequate and engaging infrastructure for participants.
Students will be entitled to financial aid for transportation and meals, amounting to R$4.50 per teaching hour, potentially receiving up to R$900 throughout the course, depending on class attendance.

- Photographer – 60 spots.
- Scenic Lighting Technician – 60 spots.
The courses aim to qualify participants to work in the cultural market, which is continually growing in Salvador and Brazil.
How Does The Selection Process Function At The Federal Institute?
The selection process at IFBA follows affirmative action criteria, ensuring that the training is accessible to different groups in society:
- 60% of the spots are reserved for black, brown, and indigenous candidates (PPI).
- 5% of the spots are reserved for people with disabilities (PCD).
- 5% of the spots are reserved for quilombolas.
- The remaining spots will be redistributed for general competition, which represents 30% of the total.
The selection will be made through an analysis of socioeconomic profile and educational background, prioritizing candidates who meet the criteria established in the notice.
