Want to enter the world of culture and arts? IFBA has 240 vacancies for free courses for cultural agents, photographers and stage lighting technicians in Salvador!

The Federal Institute of Bahia (IFBA) has launched registrations for three free courses in Salvador, focusing on cultural and artistic training. There are 240 places available, and applications can be submitted until December 15th.

If you want to learn new skills, this is your chance! In-person courses are aimed at young people and adults with incomplete elementary education, prioritizing candidates aged 16 to 29 who participate in programs such as CadÚnico or Sine.

Accessible and relevant training for the cultural market

With a workload of 200 hours, the free courses offered by IFBAMore are an incredible opportunity for those who want to train in artistic and cultural areas of great demand. Classes will take place between January and April 2025, from Monday to Friday, from 18 pm to 22 pm, and occasionally on Saturdays.

Partner locations, such as Colégio Estadual Batista Neves and Teatro Boca de Brasa, in Cajazeiras, will be the stage for these training sessions, ensuring adequate and engaging infrastructure for participants.

Students will be entitled to financial assistance for transportation and food, in the amount of R$4,50 per hour/class, and may receive up to R$900 over the course, depending on class attendance.

Courses available at IFBA

  • cultural agent – 120 vacancies.
  • Photographer – 60 vacancies.
  • Stage Lighting – 60 vacancies.

The courses aim to qualify participants to work in the cultural market, which is growing increasingly in Salvador and in Brazil.

How the selection process works federal Institute?

The selection process of IFBAMore follows affirmative action criteria, ensuring that training is accessible to different groups in society:

  • 60% of vacancies are intended for black, brown and indigenous candidates (PPI).
  • 5% of vacancies are reserved for people with disabilities (PCD).
  • 5% of vacancies are intended for quilombolas.
  • The remaining vacancies will be redistributed to broad competition, which represents 30% of the total.

The selection will be made through analysis of socioeconomic profile and education, prioritizing candidates who meet the criteria established in the notice.
