On March 15, 2026, administrator Alexandre Frota plans to take off from Fortaleza in an RV-10 for a solo around-the-world trip covering 74 thousand km, 45 countries, and five continents, after technical, financial, and logistical preparation.

The business administrator Alexandre Frota, 52 years old, known as Alex Bacana, has a planned takeoff for March 15, 2026, in Fortaleza, with the aim of completing a solo around-the-world flight aboard a single-engine RV-10.

According to information released by the project itself and the Aeroin portal, the planning forecasts a route of approximately 74 thousand kilometers, passing through 45 countries, crossing five continents, and returning to the starting point in Brazil after around 150 days of operation.

The departure is expected to occur in the morning, at a technical time yet to be defined.

The team informs that the confirmation depends on the weather conditions on the day and the final operational adjustments.

According to the project presentation, the route has been designed to include stages across the Americas, advancing towards the North Atlantic, and then passing through Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Oceania, before returning to Brazil via the American continent.

The material also indicates that the final landing is scheduled for Fortaleza, ending the circuit at the same location as the departure.

Solo Flight of Circumnavigation: What the Project Foresees

The proposal is described as a long-haul operation, with stages spread over months and expected stops in different regions.

According to the organization of the initiative, planning includes prior definition of airports along the route and alternatives for landing in case of changes in circumstances during each segment.

Still according to the project, Frota structured international insurance, a formal risk matrix, and performance studies of the experimental aircraft.

The material also mentions the selection of alternative airports along the route and the organization of procedures to deal with typical variables of a flight of this type, such as weather, fuel, and decision-making in route.

The disclosure reinforces that the execution depends on factors that may alter schedules, including the choice of takeoff time.

For this reason, the time is treated as “technical” and may be adjusted according to the conditions on the day, without changing the central objective announced for the trip.

Frotas Around the World: How the Idea Came Up and Became a Public Project

According to Frota, the idea began to be structured in 2022, shortly after he obtained his pilot’s license.

The planning, he claims, took on technical format and operational schedule as the preparation progressed.

“The around-the-world trip was born as a personal question about limits and responsibility. I wanted to know how far I could go while maintaining method and coherence.”

Initially, the Frotas Around the World project was presented as a shared logbook with family and friends.

As time passed, as the initiative itself describes, this record transformed into a structured communication project, with marketing and production team preparation over six months.

The same presentation forecasts a documentary series, live entries, and multiplatform coverage during the journey.

Regarding the change in schedule, Frota states: “Over time, I understood that the journey could have an impact beyond personal fulfillment. I transformed the dream into a project with purpose.”

On social media, the project informs that it gathers an audience that follows the preparation behind the scenes and updates related to the planning.

The initiative also mentions that it intends to keep records of the flight and the daily life of the stops along the route.

Alexandre Frota: Pilot Profile and Financial Planning for the Trip

Frota graduated in Business Administration from the University of Fortaleza and holds an MBA in Investments and Private Banking from IBMEC, according to the disclosed presentation.

He also identifies himself as a portfolio manager accredited by CVM and states that he holds CGA, CFP, and CEA certifications.

The financial organization appears as a central part of the pilot’s own account of the preparation.

Married and a father of two children, Frota claims he only confirmed the takeoff date after structuring savings to fully cover the travel period, including family expenses, asset organization, and conditions to maintain professional activities remotely.

“I couldn’t leave the country for five months without ensuring stability for my family. The reserve was built in advance and with a safety margin.”

In the same vein, he states that he treated the trip as a long-term planning, with defined stages and technical preparation aligned to previously established criteria.

“The project was treated as a long-term plan. There was a phase of technical preparation, financial organization, and clear definition of stages. There is no improvisation when you take on a responsibility of this magnitude.”

International Route and Operational Preparation of the RV-10

The route described by the project includes passages through North America, Greenland, Iceland, continental Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Oceania, before returning through the Americas.

The proposal, according to the team, is to cross five continents and end the trip at the same point of origin.

In the promotional material, Frota relates the flight planning to risk management principles, focusing on controlled exposure to external factors.

“In the financial market, you can’t control the external scenario, but you can control your exposure to risk. In flight, I can’t control the weather, but I control the preparation, fuel, and landing alternatives.”

Besides the route, the initiative plans educational actions and connections with international organizations during the stops, always according to what is feasible in each country and at each stage.

The stated objective is to engage with young people, entrepreneurs, and professionals in career transition, based on the recording of the journey and scheduled meetings along the way.

In another statement attributed to the pilot, Frota associates the project with the idea of starting challenges at different life stages.

“I want to show that maturity is not a limit, but a starting point. At 52 years old, I am starting one of the biggest challenges of my life.”

Takeoff in Fortaleza: Scheduled Date and Final Adjustments

With a planned date of March 15, 2026, the trip is organized to start in Fortaleza and end at the same location, after crossing the announced five continents.

According to the project, the total estimated distance is 74 thousand kilometers, with around 150 days of operation, respecting the practical conditions of each stage.

The final preparation stage includes operational adjustments and the definition of the technical time, which depends on the weather conditions on the day.

To the audience following the initiative, the team promises updates on the steps leading up to the departure and on the progress of the journey, according to the disclosed coverage plan.
