Production Capacity of WIKA in Iperó
Juliana Ávila, product specialist at WIKA, highlights that the unit has the capacity to manufacture approximately 20 thousand valves per year, a volume sufficient to meet the demand from Brazil and other Latin American countries. Four models of needle valves will be produced, used in various industrial segments for instrumentation.
Investment in Italian Equipment
The investment included the acquisition of sophisticated equipment from Italy. According to Juliana, ‘Brazil represents a crucial market for WIKA. We are seeing a significant increase in investments in strategic sectors such as oil and gas, chemicals and petrochemicals, as well as paper and pulp.’
WIKA’s Involvement in Local Projects
As a multinational involved in several projects in the country, WIKA sees the national production of this line of products as a complement to economic appreciation. Already producing pressure gauges and thermometers, diaphragm seal systems, temperature sensors, level meters, and primary flow elements in Brazil, the new line is a strategic addition.
National Production and Cost Strategy
Local production aims to reduce costs, improve delivery times, and provide complete solutions to customers. The valves, in addition to serving for instrumentation, can be accessories for other WIKA products. This move seeks to excellently meet the needs of the national market and sectors like oil and gas, paper, and pulp.
Contribution to the Brazilian Industry
‘For 43 years, WIKA has contributed to the advancement of the national industry by providing instrumentation solutions and services with high quality, reliability, and efficiency. Producing this new line in Brazil makes us proud, as it will provide more agility and better cost-benefit for our clients,’ says Juliana.
The Global Presence of WIKA
Of German origin, WIKA is present in 45 countries, with a global revenue of 1.2 billion euros and over 11 thousand employees.
