If you are a driver and want to fix your own car or are interested in learning more about automotive mechanics, this is your chance! The State Department of Transit (Detran) has opened registrations for a free course in basic mechanics, aimed at licensed drivers in category B. There are 60 spots available, and classes will take place on July 25, according to portaltemponovo.

What To Expect From The Course

The free course offered by Detran in partnership with Contauto Auto Center aims to train drivers to perform basic maintenance on their vehicles, identify common problems, and promote safer traffic. Classes will be divided into two modules: theoretical and practical, covering a wide variety of topics, such as engine inspection, oil change, brake and fluid checks, and much more.

The theoretical classes will take place from 8 AM to 12 PM, followed by practical classes from 1 PM to 5 PM. In addition to providing technical knowledge, the course also encourages independence and a sense of security when dealing with unforeseen issues in the vehicle. After all, knowing how to handle minor problems can make all the difference in daily life.

It is crucial that the selected individuals attend on the day of the course, as the number of spots is limited and there are many interested parties. Registrations for the mechanics course at Detran are now open and can be made until this Thursday exclusively on the Detran website. To participate, it is necessary to meet some basic requirements: be a resident of the Greater Vitória Metropolitan Area and not be serving penalties of suspension or revocation of the National Driver’s License (CNH).

Candidates must fill out an online form and attach a scanned copy of the CNH. Remember that Detran’s communication with the selected individuals will be conducted via email, so it is essential to keep an eye on the messages sent by the agency.
