Highlight Launch at CES
The Silverado EV electric pickup gained international attention after its launch at CES in January 2022. The first version to hit the market was the Work Truck (WT), equipped with a 510 hp engine and 615 lb-ft of torque, launched in late 2023. Following this success, Chevrolet introduced the Silverado EV First-Edition RST 2024, which offers an impressive 754 hp and over 785 lb-ft of torque in Wide Open Watts mode, allowing for acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in under 4.5 seconds.
The Silverado EV LT maintains quality standards with 17.7″ infotainment displays and an 11.3″ driver display, similar to the RST model. Additionally, it includes external LED lighting, featuring the iconic illuminated bowtie at the front. The bed measures 5’11” and is equipped with Chevrolet’s Multi-Flex Tailgate, offering practicality and functionality for various needs.
Design details include a distinctive front bumper and 22″ aluminum wheel options with aerodynamic inserts. These features not only enhance the vehicle’s aesthetics but also its aerodynamic efficiency.
Ultium Platform, Range, and Prices of the Electric Pickup
Like other GM electric vehicles, the Silverado EV LT uses the Ultium platform, with a long-range battery pack that offers nearly 400 miles of range. Chevrolet positions the LT as a future model, likely for 2025, further expanding options for consumers.
While the exact prices of the Silverado EV LT have yet to be announced, the model is expected to cost between US$ 55,000 and US$ 65,000. Chevrolet plans to launch trim levels ranging from US$ 50,000 for the WT, US$ 60,000, US$ 70,000, and over US$ 90,000 for the First-Edition RST.
