Its iron ore and other mineral mines are located in the regions of Congonhas and Arcos, both cities in the state of Minas Gerais, and coal in the region of Siderópolis, in the state of Santa Catarina.
The company’s plant, called Usina Presidente Vargas, is located in the city of Volta Redonda, in the south of the state of Rio de Janeiro.
Its primary facility is responsible for the annual production of about 6 million tons of raw steel and more than 5 million tons of rolled steel, making it one of the most prolific in the world.
