The most anticipated outcome so far is that the project will benefit from the hyperloop, a transport system made of capsules with an attractive design and fully systematized. These capsules travel through tubes, whether for passengers or cargo, potentially reaching speeds of about 1,200 km/h.
The Director of Generation at Eletrobras, Pedro Jatobá, explained that: “With 96% of its installed capacity based on clean energy sources, Eletrobras is interested in developing innovative projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions and contribute to the expansion of the low-carbon economy.”

He added: “HyperloopTT, for its part, is a company that has one of its goals as the realization of projects that adopt new disruptive technologies, with the reduction of environmental damage.”
About HyperloopTT
HyperloopTT Transportation Technologies was founded in 2013 and has since been signing contracts and agreements with the United States, United Arab Emirates, France, Germany, India, China, Korea, Indonesia, Slovakia, Ukraine, and the Czech Republic.
At this critical moment, the company is looking to strengthen its ties with Brazil. Its main project at the moment is the development of the hyperloop. This new mode of high-speed transportation travels through magnetic levitation.
The President and Founder of HyperloopTT, Dirk Ahlborn, stated:
“Our goal is to identify projects and possibilities for synergies to integrate the energy generation provided by the HyperloopTT system and the Brazilian energy system, enabling the use of Eletrobras infrastructure whenever there is synergy with the system, among other possibilities.”
