Elon Musk, Through His Company SpaceX, Closed a Unprecedented Partnership with John Deere. The Focus of the Partnership Is to Provide Satellite Internet from Starlink to the Agro Sector in Brazil and the United States.
As the world updates, certain regions, especially rural and countryside areas, face challenges due to a lack of connectivity. These areas often remain on the margins of technological advancements. However, a major change in Brazil’s Agro is on the horizon with the establishment of an innovative partnership between SpaceX, billionaire Elon Musk’s company, and John Deere – one of the largest agricultural machinery companies in the world.
SpaceX Promises to Offer Starlink Internet Connection for the Agro Sector of Brazil
This new agreement between Elon Musk’s company and John Deere promises to be a milestone for technological advancement in the field, especially for Brazilian agro.
The strategic partnership between the two giants aims to expand efficiency in agriculture, focusing mainly on Agro areas with limited internet access. This will be possible through the integration of the Starlink satellite service from SpaceX with agricultural machinery produced by John Deere, transforming how agriculture is conducted in remote locations.

John Deere recently announced the formalization of a partnership with SpaceX, led by businessman Elon Musk, aiming to provide satellite connectivity services (SATCOM) for the Agro sector.
Through the use of the Starlink network, which is a market reference, farmers facing connectivity issues in rural areas will have full access to precision agriculture technologies.
The agreement will allow John Deere customers to increase productivity, profitability, and sustainability in their agricultural activities while continuing to supply their communities and the world with food, fuels, and fibers, contributing to the sustenance of a growing global population.
Understand the Scope of the Partnership Between SpaceX and John Deere
During the announcement, Aaron Wetzel, Vice President of Production Systems and Precision Agriculture at John Deere, highlighted that the value of connectivity for the Agro sector is more comprehensive than any individual action ever taken.
Connectivity unlocks huge opportunities that were previously limited or unavailable. For example, throughout the year, farmers must complete tasks in very short time windows. This dynamic requires the execution of extremely precise production steps, alongside coordination between machines and management of their performance.
The executive added that each of these areas is enhanced by connectivity, making the entire operation more efficient, effective, and profitable. Elon Musk’s ambitious plan currently includes about 5,300 satellites in orbit, aiming to expand to 42,000, and the company continues to seek new customers around the world.
In this scenario, the integration of Starlink into John Deere tractors will be particularly relevant in the US and Brazil, where a significant portion of rural areas suffers from low access to internet connectivity.
Agreement Will Benefit Hundreds of People in Brazilian Agro
In fact, in the United States, about 30% of these areas have limited internet access, but in Brazil, this number exceeds 70%, highlighting the change this partnership will bring to Brazilian Agro. Thus, this agreement will benefit hundreds of farmers.
Although the prices for antennas and software services for Starlink connectivity have not yet been determined, this collaboration will mark a new era for Elon Musk’s company.
The SATCOM solution will promote the connection of both new and existing agricultural equipment through satellite internet services and robust terminals. The technology enables features such as autonomy, real-time data sharing, remote diagnostics, advanced technical support, and communication between machines, improving the efficiency and productive time of farmers.

Resta esclarecer, se for como noticiado, que este é o negócio dele. O que ele implementa, seja onde for, visa lucros, vultosos lucros; e o Brasil é um mercado excepcional. O africano precisa investir, também, na África desfavorecida de tudo.
