The New Multi-Purpose Electric Bicycle From Chinese Fiido Comes With a 960 Wh Battery, Larger 20-Inch Tires, Front Suspension, and a Seat Equipped With Shock Absorbers
To live a healthier and more eco-friendly life, many people choose to ride bicycles whenever possible. Nevertheless, the car is still the most common means of transportation, especially in large urban centers. But now, with the electric bicycle market booming, the Chinese company Fiido has launched a new multi-purpose model that promises to completely change the dynamics of this competition.
The company recently added some new features to its T1 electric bicycle, and they claim that these enhancements make the product “as capable as vehicles” when it comes to tasks like taking children to school or picking up groceries.
According to the manufacturer, the multi-purpose electric bicycle is not only “powerful and robust” but also performs well off-road. Under the seat is its 960 Wh battery, which is compatible with fast charging and has a range of up to 100 kilometers per charge when ridden at a maximum speed of 45 kilometers per hour.

Smaller than a Kwid and priced at around R$ 60,000, the Mitsubishi eK Cross EV features a 1,500 W outlet, 180 km range, and becomes a sort of power bank on wheels in Japan.
If you use less acceleration and set the pedal assist to more efficient settings, you can achieve a range of up to 150 kilometers. Meanwhile, the power of the rear hub motor can reach 750 watts.
To improve performance on rough terrain, the T1 comes factory-equipped with larger 20-inch tires, front suspension, and a seat equipped with shock absorbers. The maximum load capacity is 200 kg (including the rider’s weight) and the bicycle weighs 32 kg, which is about the same weight as other e-bikes that fall into the same payload category.
It’s important to keep in mind the various aspects that affect the range of Fiido’s multi-purpose electric bicycle, such as the riding mode, the total weight carried by the vehicle, and even the weather; despite this, the number is sufficient for shorter urban trips.
Fiido Claims That Its Multi-Purpose Electric Bicycle Is Ideal for Cyclists Between 1.60 and 2 Meters Tall and Is Also Water and Dust Resistant
For now, the model is officially available in the United States, Europe, the United Kingdom, and Canada, and can be purchased on the Fiido website for US$ 1,599, which is approximately R$ 8,300 when directly converted.
In the end, the price of Fiido’s multi-purpose electric bicycle may seem absurd, but it is just a little more than a minimum wage in the USA, indicating that it is a reasonably affordable bicycle for the local market.
With this new model, Fiido hopes to expand competition in the electric bicycle market and encourage more people to choose this healthy and eco-friendly means of transportation. By making e-bikes more accessible and practical, it is expected that they can be a viable alternative for daily commutes, especially in large cities where traffic is heavier.
