A Norwegian Electric Car Company Developed a 4×4 Called Fresco XL That Can Deliver Up to 1 Thousand Km of Autonomy with a Single Charge and Can Also Return Energy to the Grid
Fresco Motors, a Norwegian startup, announced its new electric car, a 4×4 called Fresco XL, designed for off-road, capable of carrying up to 8 people and with a range of 1 thousand km on just a single charge. The company did not go into technical details about its model, but we know that its design is definitely innovative. The electric car’s battery is referred to by the company as extra-large, so much so that it must be stacked twice for the 4×4 to achieve maximum storage capacity.

Get to Know the Electric Car from Fresco Motors That Can Be Used as a Battery to Return Energy to the Grid
The company’s 4×4 features an electric motor acting on each axle. The CEO of Fresco Motors, Espen Kvalvik, states that this provides better traction on slippery roads, in addition to the vehicle performing in off-road.
According to the COO and Board Member of Fresco, Adrian Kristofer Locklindh, to ensure high energy efficiency and greater autonomy, the model will be equipped with aerodynamic rims. The company also mentions other possible uses for the car, such as a sort of “battery” in case of power outages, and also as a field vehicle.

Electric Car Market Develops and Subsidiary of Chinese Giant CATL Launches Battery in Chocolate Bar Format
CAES, a subsidiary of the Chinese giant CATL, developed a kind of battery in the format of a chocolate bar called Choco-SEB. The company’s idea is to set aside the attempt to offer more autonomy with denser and more powerful batteries, but instead to provide the option to swap components at stations, in a process that can take just 1 minute.
According to the company, by swapping the discharged modules for fully charged ones, it is possible to recover up to 200 km of autonomy. The company has not yet discussed the pricing. Each customer will be able to rent up to three battery modules and also claims that the components are small and have a high energy density.
