Urtopia Develops New Electric Bike Packed with Technologies. Urtopia’s E-bike Features GPS, Fingerprint Unlock, Anti-Theft System, and More.
The company Urtopia recently launched its Chord electric bike, which has all the connectivity of the previous model, called Carbon 1, along with some new technologies. Its style and tech features set this model apart from various electric bikes available on the market.
Urtopia’s E-bike Achieves Up to 120 km of Range
According to the startup, the inspiration for the electric bike is curious: a piano! This is because its curves and color palette evoke the elegance and simplicity of musical instruments. Its removable battery of 352.6 Wh has enough power for trips of up to 120 km.
After 3 hours of charging, the model is ready for another trip. Other features of the E-bike include an integrated front light, torque sensor on the pedal, 8-speed transmission, hydraulic disc brakes, and a powerful 250W motor. The model also includes technological features such as GPS, Bluetooth connectivity to link with a smartphone, fingerprint unlock, voice control, and an anti-theft system.

Users do not need to worry about vehicle updates. After all, the electric bike’s firmware is updated automatically when connected to a smartphone via Smart Bar. The bike’s 4G/GPS not only maps the vehicle’s route through an app but also allows tracking of the bike in case of theft. There’s a setting that enables users to receive a notification from the app if the e-bike moves while parked.
Electric Bike Weighs 21 kg and Reaches 32 km/h
During rides, it’s possible to set a destination. In this way, the e-bike will use its navigation system (connected to a smartphone) to show directions on the e-bike’s screen. The model features five speed modes: Pedal, Comfort, Eco, Sport, and Turbo. Its maximum speed is 32 km/h.
The bike weighs 21 kg and has a load capacity of 130 kg, a 36 V 250W motor, a removable battery: Samsung LI-Ion 352.8 Wh, and a range of 5-120 km, with TEKTRO hydraulic disc brakes, Shimano 8-speed derailleur, CST C1720 wheels, 700 X 42 C with reflective strips, 4G connectivity, Bluetooth, and WiFi, SrVZO front light, and rear light.

Famous Companies Enter the Electric Bike Market
Hyundai announced earlier this month the launch of its new electric bike, called eXXite Next. Created in partnership with the Spanish company Rayvolt, the model features a conventional bike design, but stands out due to its thicker frame where the company managed to embed components like the battery. Hyundai formed a partnership with the Spanish company to develop an e-bike with a 250 Watt motor.
Its battery can provide up to 80 km of range on a single charge and assists pedaling at a maximum of 25 km/h. The component is hidden within the saddle tube, and it is possible to lift the model for use as an exercise vehicle without motion, with an app to track all data.
The company’s launch is unique to France for now, priced at around R$ 18,800 in direct conversion. Although it features a more robust frame, the batteries still offer a range of 80 km.
