Updated Schedule, Changes in Rules and Guidelines for Those Taking the Exam
The 2025 ENEM notice and official changes were announced by the National Institute for Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (Inep) on May 23, 2025. The official publication presents all the changes planned for this edition of the exam, in addition to confirming the complete calendar. Registration opens on May 27, with tests scheduled for November 3 and 10. Inep emphasized that the new notice aims to ensure greater clarity, increase transparency, and facilitate student planning.
Key Dates and Deadlines for ENEM 2025
First of all, the official schedule released establishes the registration period between May 27 and June 7. Additionally, the payment of the registration fee can be made until June 12. The application of the tests will take place over two consecutive Sundays: November 3 and 10. As announced by the Ministry of Education (MEC), the results are expected on January 13, 2026. Moreover, the notice stipulates that candidates exempt from the registration fee who did not attend in 2024 must justify their absence to maintain the benefit. Inep highlighted this point to combat the misuse of the fee waiver and improve the efficiency of the selection process.
Changes in the Exam and Structure of the Tests
Among the main confirmed changes is the officialization of the new Reference Matrix, aligned with the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC), already anticipated in previous updates. Starting this year, the content tested in the exam will be based on this new model. Therefore, ENEM seeks to more accurately reflect what is taught in schools across the country. On the other hand, there were no changes in the structure of the tests. The first day will continue with questions on languages, human sciences, and writing. On the second day, students will face questions on mathematics and natural sciences. Inep emphasized that it will adapt the approach of the questions to the updated guidelines of the BNCC, despite the changes.

Notice Includes Specific Accessibility Rules for Participants with Disabilities
Regarding inclusion, the notice also provided detailed guidelines for candidates who need specialized assistance. Those requiring resources such as Braille tests, sign language interpreters, or additional time must submit their requests when registering, between May 27 and June 7. Inep will automatically reject incomplete requests or those without the required documentation, as informed by the institute itself. Therefore, the institution recommends extra care when filling out the information. This measure aims to ensure equal conditions among participants and reinforce the commitment to accessibility.
ENEM 2025 Notice Warns of Fraud, Proper Use of Data and Official Information
Finally, the ENEM 2025 notice reinforces the importance of the accuracy of the information provided during registration. According to the text, any inconsistencies could lead to the candidate’s elimination. Inep also advises that everyone read the complete document carefully before filling out the form. Additionally, the institute warns of scams related to the sale of spots and false promises of approval. Therefore, it is essential that candidates obtain information only from official channels, such as the Inep and MEC portals. The organization of the exam prioritizes the commitment to ethics and transparency throughout the process.
