The inauguration was attended by the Governor of Minas Gerais, Romeu Zema. The governor highlighted the importance of energy in attracting investments to the state. Additionally, Zema discussed the importance of the privatization of Cemig – Companhia Energética de Minas Gerais. Zema stated that “It is the only viable solution today. Another alternative would be an investment of R$ 15 billion in the company. The government cannot even pay its employees on time.”
Gustavo Malagoli Buiatti, founder and CTO of Alsol, stated that “We will reach an installed capacity of 27 MW peak.” He also added that Energisa’s initiatives aim to consolidate renewable energy through various sources across Brazil. Photovoltaics is one of the cleanest electrical sources and, when combined with other sources, such as hydropower or biomass, can be further strengthened. That is why Alsol will continue to invest heavily.”
