Petrobras Bid Secures Three Lots for Engeman and One Lot for Tecnofine
The oil and gas sector in Brazil is in the spotlight with the results of a significant bid conducted by Petrobras.
This bid focuses on the provision of services for a significant number of platforms located in the Campos, Santos, and Espírito Santo basins.
-
More than 40 Petrobras platforms enter the decommissioning queue and open up a billion-dollar industry in Brazil for cranes, special ships, underwater cutting, and offshore recycling.
-
ANP schedules oil auctions in October and reinforces regulatory predictability for concessions, sharing, and investments in the oil and gas sector
-
There is oil below the oil that Brazil already extracts: Petrobras confirmed a new accumulation in the Búzios field, at a depth of 5,600 meters, in a zone below the reservoir already operating in the Santos Basin.
-
404 km off the coast of Rio de Janeiro, an oil company drilled 5,855 meters into the ocean and discovered the largest oil and gas reserve found in a quarter of a century.
Petrobras issued a notice to hire service providers for operation and high-level tasks related to cranes, equipment, load handling accessories, and industrial cleaning.
The bid was divided into four substantial lots, with Engeman, based in Pernambuco, leading in three of them (Lots 1, 2, and 4), while the company Tecnofine took the lead in Lot 3.
Other companies, such as RIP Kaefer, Marine and Naval, Jota GE, and Perbras, also participated in the competition.
Engeman stood out in the bid by presenting the best proposals in several lots.
In Lot 1, Engeman offered the best proposal of R$ 157.3 million, surpassing its competitors. In Lot 2, the story repeated itself, with Engeman presenting the most advantageous offer of R$ 159.3 million.
In Lot 3, which covers services on the P-71 (Itapu), PMXL-1, and PMLZ-1 (Mexilhão and Merluza) platforms in the Santos Basin, Tecnofine led with a proposal of R$ 50.8 million, surpassing Engeman and other competitors.
Lot 4 involves the P-25, P-31, P-57, P-58, and PRA1 platforms in the Espírito Santo Basin, along with Maintenance and Safety Units.
Engeman once again led with a proposal of R$ 95.6 million, outperforming other competitors.
Petrobras Enters the Negotiation Phase for Service Contract Values on Platforms
Petrobras now enters the negotiation phase for values and validation of proposals, with the expectation of announcing the final winners in the coming weeks.
This bid has drawn market attention due to the pre-defined salary floors established by Petrobras, which may result in better compensation for the approximately 1,500 professionals involved in the four lots.
Additionally, there will be expanded qualification requirements for professionals, including the need for a complete high school education for Load Handling Assistants, as well as mandatory technical courses for Crane Operators and Supervisors.
The contracts for platform services will last for 1,520 days from the date of celebration, with a stipulated activity execution period of 1,460 days from the date indicated in the Service Authorization.
