Shipyard in Santa Catarina (SC) will open more than 2 jobs with and without experience after a billion-dollar partnership lasting until 2029

The expectation is that the hiring of job openings will take place in the city of Itajaí, present in the state of Santa Catarina (SC). In short, more than 2 jobs will be created for the construction of a new Navy frigate project in the region. 

The project, which will feature new job vacancies for professionals with and without market experience, will be developed by the giant Thyssenkrupp Shipyard Brasil Sul, formerly known as Oceana, and was acquired by the German company during the year 2020. The project will include the manufacture of frigates. The contract signed for the construction of the frigates will have the value of $ 9 billion and the deadline for its delivery is until 2029. In this way, they will be looking for welders, painters, mechanics, inspectors and many other craftsmen. The vessels, as stated by the company, will have a durability of at least 35 years and similar projects can be elaborated later. 

In addition to the two thousand direct jobs created by the shipyard, it is estimated that more than six thousand  job vacancies arise from indirect way covering several professionals throughout the city of Itajaí. Opportunities, in large part, are publicized through the institution's GUPY portal. 

Contracting of the shipyard takes place in the CLT modality 

According to what was informed by the journalistic portal ND More, It is estimated that, at this shipyard, all hiring takes place under the CLT modality, in which the company guarantees its employees the right to receive transportation vouchers and food vouchers, along with paid vacations and contributions to the Severance Indemnity Fund (FGTS). 

The salaries and benefits offered will only be released to candidates who are approved by the Human Resources for the contracting phases.

TIG welder

The TIG welder opportunity is intended for professionals with elementary school training and knowledge of metal surfaces and corrosion.  

In addition to having completed elementary school and welding courses, among the functions that will be part of this professional's day to day are: 

• Carry out the entire cleaning process of the area to be welded. 
• Regulate welding and TIG equipment both for yourself and for other employees. 
• Weld the structures.
• Acting with accessories aimed at welding from the most basic techniques to the advanced ones. 
• Prepare all warm-ups and keep the work environment clean and organized at all times.
