The strategic location of the Port of Paranaguá has become a fundamental piece in the efficient movement of special cargoes.
The operation, conducted by the experienced company Marcon, took place at berth 215 of the dock and involved highly qualified port workers.
The Port of Paranaguá’s capacity to handle delicate and complex cargoes like these armored vehicles was emphasized by the president of Portos do Paraná, Luiz Fernando Garcia.
The armored vehicles in question were transported by the cargo ship Arc Resolve, known for its efficiency in transporting vehicles and special cargoes.
These MaxxPro Recovery Vehicles are equipped with advanced technology, including a rear delta wing, a hydraulic arm with electronic access, and the ability to withstand fire from 5.56 and 7.62 millimeter caliber weapons.
According to Colonel Éder Valério Pellegrini of the Command of the 5th Military Region of the Brazilian Army, these new armored vehicles have the versatility to be used as a tow truck with up to 42 tons of load.

These strategic incorporations increase the operational capacity of the Guarani Armored Vehicles, produced in Brazil, and strengthen the strategic program “Armored Forces” of the Brazilian Army.
New Armored Vehicles of the Brazilian Army Will Be Distributed at Points Across Brazil
The new vehicles that arrived in Brazil at the Port of Paranaguá will be distributed to logistical battalions throughout the country, according to the Brazilian Army.
The vehicles will also be allocated to military schools, enhancing the infrastructure of the armed forces.
The logistics of this process will be coordinated by the Logistics Section of the Command of the 5th Army Division, which will employ specialized units, such as the 27th Logistics Battalion and the 5th Logistics Battalion, to ensure safe transport to the Regional Maintenance Park of the 5th Military Region in Curitiba.
In the capital of Paraná, Curitiba, the vehicles will be officially received by the Brazilian Army, and a training course will be held for operators from across the country. This step is vital to ensure the effective and safe use of these additions to the military fleet.
The success of this vehicle receipt operation is nothing new for the Port of Paranaguá.
With experience in receiving military vehicles, including over 100 armored vehicles previously, the port is a cornerstone of this activity.
The proximity to Curitiba and the availability of the Port of Paranaguá continue to consolidate its position as a reliable and longstanding partner for these operations.
Now, the Brazilian Army will proceed with the allocation of the new armored vehicles to the national security fleet.
