The Consolidation in the Brazilian Market Marks a New Era for the Energy Company
Gulf Oil International Limited, a renowned entity in the global energy and lubricants sector, announces a significant milestone in its trajectory: the launch of Gulf Oil Brazil. This initiative symbolizes not only the strengthening of its presence in Latin America but also signals the beginning of a phase of growth and strategic partnerships in Brazilian territory. With the establishment of a subsidiary in the country, the company begins its operations with the production and distribution of lubricants in its own factory and extends its brand to gas stations through licensing.
The Beginning of a New Journey
The structuring of Gulf Oil’s operation in Brazil began in 2023, marked by the acquisition of a lubricant factory and the choice of a partner to license the company’s brand at gas stations. Under the leadership of Ramiro Ferrari, General Manager of Gulf Oil Brazil, the team, composed of professionals with extensive experience in the oil sector, aligned perfectly with the parent company’s plans to implement the strategy designed for the Brazilian market.
Expansion and Innovation in Lubricants
The plant acquired in Iperó, São Paulo, is the heart of Gulf lubricants production, meeting the demands of the automotive, industrial, and agricultural sectors. With the capacity to produce 3 million liters per month and plans to increase to 4.5 million in the coming months, the factory is equipped with cutting-edge technology to ensure the excellence and compliance of its products. Gulf Oil Brazil is committed to maintaining the high-quality standards of its lubricants, recognized in the Brazilian market, such as Gulf Formula, Gulf Ultrasynth, and Gulf Pride.

A New Phase for Gas Stations
Gulf, a pioneer in establishing the first retail gas station in 1913, continues to lead with innovation and excellence. The partnership with Fit Combustíveis, responsible for licensing the brand for gas stations in Brazil, aims to inaugurate 200 new establishments by the end of the year. There are already 20 stations in operation in the states of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, consolidating the legacy and values of the brand.
The Legacy and the Future
Since its foundation in 1901, Gulf Oil International Limited has been a symbol of innovation and pioneering, with a history filled with firsts, from drilling oil wells to the iconic blue and orange color combination in racing cars. The partnership with the Williams team in the Formula 1 World Championship and the association with McLaren Automotive stand out among the collaborations that reflect the brand’s DNA: innovation and teamwork.
