Niobium and Graphene Play an Important Role for the Future
In 2016 the Brazilian Federal Government and Japan also closed a contract for investment application in the Brazilian infrastructure industry.
Since 2016, the Brazilian federal government together with Japan has been establishing ongoing partnerships in both the renewable energy industry and mining, and currently in new market strategies involving niobium and graphene.
Last year, Japan invested R$ 1.5 million to support the technological base of niobium and graphene. It is also worth highlighting that niobium is a strategic mineral for the Brazilian market; currently, Brazil produces 86% of this material, and as a partner, it has Japan, which exports 9.6% of ferroniobium.
