The oil and gas sector is experiencing an unprecedented transformation, marked by the integration of artificial intelligence (AI), high-precision sensors, and space technologies. These innovations have enabled safer, more sustainable, and profitable operations. According to the ASEAN Green Jobs Forum 2025, the digitalization of the energy sector is already promoting a more efficient management of natural resources and strengthening sustainable practices in various countries.

Companies operating in the field of technological innovation have been at the forefront of this movement. JMMTech, a Brazilian company specialized in digital solutions for the energy sector, recently stood out at international forums held in Malaysia and Indonesia, where it presented technologies applied to oil and gas exploration with a focus on sustainability and efficiency.

During official commitments integrated with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the president of JMMTech, Ernani Machado, presented initiatives that combine innovation, reduction of environmental impacts, and intelligent energy use.

We are showing how Brazil can contribute with real solutions, combining innovation and sustainability in the oil and gas sector. It is also an opportunity to strengthen strategic partnerships,” said Machado during the event.

The company also participated in the Brazil-Malaysia and Brazil-Indonesia Business Forums, which occurred alongside the visit of the Brazilian presidential delegation to the two countries. In these meetings, topics such as mining, oil, and gas were discussed from the perspective of technological innovation and reducing environmental impact.

ASEAN Expands Debate On The Sustainable Use Of Oil And Gas

The ASEAN, which brings together ten Asian countries, has established itself as an essential platform for dialogue on energy sustainability. The bloc has been promoting discussions about the impacts of new technologies in the energy sector and the importance of balancing production and environmental preservation.

During the summit held in Malaysia, Ernani Machado emphasized that international cooperation is fundamental for the sustainable advancement of the sector. “International dialogue is essential for the oil and gas sector to advance responsibly. The integration of technology and sustainability is a priority to maintain the balance between production and environmental preservation,” highlighted the executive.

The new digital solutions applied to oil and gas are redefining efficiency and safety parameters. According to studies presented at the ASEAN forum, the collection of real-time data, the use of advanced sensors, and the automation of processes are among the main tools to reduce emissions, detect early failures, and optimize the utilization of natural resources.
