Free And Fully Online Course
According to IFMG, the specialization will be conducted entirely in a virtual learning environment Moodle, with a minimum of 360 hours.
The course includes mandatory and elective subjects, as well as the preparation of a Final Paper in the format of a scientific article or technical report.
According to the notice, the goal is to enhance the qualification of professionals interested in educational practices and policies, offering complementary training at the specialization level.
Who Can Participate
Applications are open for education professionals with a bachelor’s degree and graduates from any area — licensed, bachelor’s or technologists — who are interested in educational topics.
The notice also permits the participation of students nearing graduation, as long as they can present their diploma by the start of classes, scheduled for March 2026.
Distribution Of Spots
Out of the 120 spots, 70 are designated for general competition.
The others are reserved for affirmative actions, with 30 for self-declared black or brown people, 12 for people with disabilities, 4 for indigenous people, 2 for quilombolas, and 2 for transgender or transvestite people.
IFMG informs that, if any of these categories do not have enough candidates, the unfilled spots will be redirected to the general competition.
Selection Process And Timetable
The selection will be made by public raffle, broadcast live on November 14, 2025, as provided in the notice.
The preliminary result is expected to be announced on November 17, followed by verification and appeals stages.
The final result is scheduled for January 6, 2026.
Between February 23 and 27, 2026, IFMG will hold online orientation activities with the approved candidates.
The start of classes is set for March 2, 2026.
Structure And Methodology
The course will be offered in a 100% online format, with no mandatory in-person meetings.
According to IFMG, the methodology aims to provide flexibility in scheduling, allowing participants to organize their study routine according to their availability.
The subjects and activities will be conducted by professors from the federal network and invited guests, with monitoring through forums and evaluation tasks within the Moodle system.
Documentation For Quotas And Affirmative Actions
Candidates who opt for the reserved spots must present specific supporting documents.
Among them, a racial-ethnic self-declaration (with subsequent hetero-identification for black or brown individuals), an updated medical report for people with disabilities, and a declaration of belonging issued by a recognized leader in the case of indigenous people.
Quilombolas and transgender or transvestite individuals must also attach documentation according to the criteria described in the notice.

Application Fee And Waiver
The notice foresees an application fee, the amount of which must be confirmed in the application system.
Candidates registered in the Unified Registry for Social Programs of the Federal Government (CadÚnico) can request a fee waiver between October 6 and 15, 2025.
The result of the waiver requests will be announced on October 17.
Those who do not obtain the waiver may make the payment and complete their application until October 31, 2025.
The list of approved applications eligible for the raffle will be published on November 10.
