Program Participants Speak About the “Connecting Your Future” Program
Over two years, the program has created opportunities for more than 30,000 people. In the last cycle of the program, which started in 2020 and ended earlier this year, more than 10,000 people graduated from all Brazilian regions.
Among the participants who applied their new knowledge and achieved positive results is 16-year-old student Juliana Cidade, who created the Guararema Express project, a platform that supports shopkeepers, workers, farmers, and residents of Guararema, rural São Paulo.
According to the student, the project arose as a response to the economic situation due to the pandemic, which impacted small, agricultural, and tourist towns like hers. In addition to helping the town, the project earned the student first place in the Recoders Challenge, an award that encouraged young people to think of practical and technological solutions to face the worsening of the pandemic.
