Distribution of Positions Offered in the Fiocruz Public Competition

The Fiocruz public competition is divided into three positions: Health Management Analyst, Public Health Technologist, and Public Health Researcher.

Each position has 100 positions, with 75 open to all candidates, 20 reserved for black individuals, and 5 reserved for individuals with disabilities.

Requirements for Each of the Open Positions

Health Management Analyst

The Health Management Analyst position in the Fiocruz public competition is aimed at professionals working in administrative areas, such as logistics, human resources, and infrastructure management.

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in any field.

The positions are available in the cities of Belo Horizonte, Brasília, Campo Grande, Curitiba, Fortaleza, Manaus, Porto Velho, Recife, Rio de Janeiro, and Salvador.

Public Health Technologist

The Public Health Technologist position is aimed at professionals working in technical areas, such as engineering, law, nursing, medicine, and physiotherapy.

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in the specific field of the position.

The open positions in the Fiocruz competition are located in the cities of Belo Horizonte, Curitiba, Manaus, Recife, Rio de Janeiro, and Salvador.

Public Health Researcher

The Public Health Researcher position is directed toward professionals involved in research on topics such as health environments, climate change, applied biological sciences, clinical research, and health history.

Interested candidates for the Fiocruz competition must hold a doctorate degree in the specific field of the position.

The positions are distributed in the cities of Belo Horizonte, Brasília, Campo Grande, Curitiba, Manaus, Porto Velho, Recife, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, and Teresina.

When Will the Fiocruz Competition Take Place?

Applications for the Fiocruz public competition can be submitted until March 5, 2024, through the Fiocruz Competition 2023 website.

The application fees are R$ 150 for the Health Management Analyst and Public Health Technologist positions and R$ 200 for the Public Health Researcher position.

What Will the Stages of the Selection Process Look Like?

The selection process will consist of objective and essay tests, which will be administered on April 28, 2024, in the cities where the positions are located.

Candidates registered for the Fiocruz competition will also be evaluated by title analysis and, for some positions, by practical test, lesson presentation, professional project presentation, and memorial defense.

Results and Validity of the Fiocruz Competition

The results and approval of the Fiocruz competition are scheduled for October 15.

Additionally, the validity period of the Fiocruz competition will be one year, which may be extended for an equal period at the discretion of the administration of the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation.
