The Airport Operator Participates in the Logistics and Multimodal Business Fair Since 2018
Zurich Airport Brasil, the concessionaire of Floripa Airport, or Hercílio Luz International Airport, in Florianópolis, confirmed its participation in the 2023 edition of Logistique – Logistics Fair, Multimodal Cargo Transport, International Trade, Technology, and Intralogistics. The airport has been in constant growth since 2018, when the Swiss operator took over its management. In 2023, compared to the same period in 2022, it reports a growth in imported cargo of about 36%.
“Since we took over the concession, Florianópolis Airport has participated in Logistique. We understand that the fair, in addition to being an important space for business prospecting, is also an environment where we can learn about innovations and understand the logistics market even better,” highlights the CEO of Zurich Airport Brasil, Ricardo Gesse. For the operator, the fair, considered today one of the largest and most important in the logistics sector in Brazil, represents an event with relevant players in the national scenario, a place for rich exchanges of experience and very qualified networking.

In this year’s edition of Logistique, the specialists from Zurich Airport Brasil will be present with all their expertise in air cargo, providing extensive knowledge of the air cargo market in Brazil and showcasing the significant gains in logistical efficiency operating through the cargo terminal in the capital of Santa Catarina.
The concessionaire has also initiated the expansion project for the cargo terminal, which foresees a new area for products that require controlled temperature. The area for this type of cargo will increase from the current 300 cubic meters to 1,800 cubic meters, with a delivery date expected for December of this year.
The operator also celebrates in August the first anniversary of the second frequency of the Miami x Floripa cargo flight with Latam Cargo, which was good with a frequency on Mondays and became excellent with a second frequency on Thursdays. The team at Floripa Airport is now looking to establish a cargo route between the Santa Catarina airport and European airports, which may happen soon.
“It is a great pride for us to have a company like Zurich Airport Brasil participating with us since the first edition of the fair, which significantly elevates the importance of the event,” says the director of Logistique, Leonardo Rinaldi. “Without a doubt, the participation of Floripa Airport will add a lot in terms of options in the segments in which the fair is inserted,” adds the executive director Karine Marmitt.
