According to defesaaéreaenaval, in a significant ceremony, the President of the Republic, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, was welcomed by the Commander of the Air Force, Brigadier General Marcelo Kanitz Damasceno, along with the General Officers of the High Command of the Air Force. The meeting took place at the Aerospace Science and Technology Department (DCTA), located in São José dos Campos, São Paulo.
This event symbolized an important milestone, with the inauguration of a new student housing block at the Aeronautics Technological Institute (ITA), thus expanding the accommodation capacity to 80 students and reinforcing the Lula government’s commitment to education and technological innovation.
Turbojet TR-5000: A Leap Towards Energy Autonomy
During the visit, the highlight was the presentation of the TR-5000 turbojet engine, a jet engine developed entirely in Brazil. This represents a significant advancement for the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) and the national aerospace industry, with the TR-5000 promising to be a viable alternative for energy generation using multifuels. This project not only symbolizes the country’s energy self-sufficiency but also places Brazil on the global map as an innovator in the aerospace sector.

President Lula emphasized the importance of strengthening the defense industry, not only to protect national territory but also to propel Brazil as a leader in the global defense industry. Therefore, the president’s vision is clear: investing in science and technology is essential for the sovereignty and progress of the country. At the end of the event, the Commander of the Air Force gifted the president a miniature model of the TR-5000 Turbine, symbolizing the ongoing partnership between the FAB and the government in the pursuit of innovation and national security.

É fato que não existe interesse das grandes potências que o Brasil cresça tecnologicamente, pois assim deixaremos de depender deles.
Entretanto infelizmente a nossa classe política que busca somente os próprios interesses .Facilmente pode ser comprada por quaisquer representantes de interesses estrangeiros prejudicando o crescimento ou colocando uma pá de cal em projetos de interesse nacional.
