Ford has been adopting an aggressive pricing strategy for the Ranger in the national automotive market, selling versions at more affordable prices, such as the new Ranger Black, which starts at R$ 219,990. Now, a new cheap Ford Ranger may return to the Brazilian market. This is the Ford Single Cab, which promises to boost the national pickup market.

The new body option from the American brand was present at Fenatran 2024, an event that took place from November 4 to 8. The event focuses on commercial vehicles and is also a platform for negotiations with fleet operators.
It could be a way to measure interest in the model. Generally, single cab pickups are more geared towards use with equipment or heavy-duty work, but the previous generation of the cheap Ford Ranger did have versions aimed at general use.

It would be sold exclusively by Ford’s commercial division, Ford Pro. Under the hood, the cheap Ford Ranger uses the same 2.0 turbo engine as the XL, XLS, and Black versions. It generates 170 hp and 41.2 kgfm of torque. However, unlike the cited variants, the Single Cab is equipped with a six-speed manual transmission.
A highlight for this version is its 4×4 traction, which is not found in the Ranger Black, for example. There is also a suspension with dampers external to the frame and a resized brake system.
Will The Cheap Ford Ranger With Single Cab Arrive In Brazil?
Focusing on work, the cargo capacity of the new cheap Ranger pickup is 1,876 liters, and the payload is 1,250 kg. The fording capacity is 80 cm. The Ford Single Cab Ranger also allows for a wide range of transformations, according to the brand. This can facilitate day-to-day activities, depending on the work that the truck will perform.
Finally, visually, the new version of the pickup follows the look of the Double Cab XL Ranger, with several elements finished in black, such as the front bumper, mirror covers, and door handles. The rear bumper and steel wheels are also painted black.
Ford has not officially confirmed the arrival of the new cheap Ford Ranger to the Brazilian pickup market. However, the model is expected to arrive in Brazil next year to become the lowest-priced version of the pickup. If it has the same equipment package as the Ranger XL Double Cab, it will include items such as 16-inch steel wheels, front airbags, side airbags, and driver’s knee airbag.
The list also includes cruise control, automatic headlight activation, an 8-inch instrument panel, and Sync 4 multimedia with a 10-inch screen, among others. Currently, only Chevrolet S10 and Toyota Hilux offer single cab bodies in Brazil. The Chevrolet is priced at R$ 223,620 in the chassis version and R$ 232,710 with a cargo bed. The Toyota is priced at R$ 223,490 and R$ 231,290, respectively.
Manufacturer Increases Production Of The Ford Ranger
Ford will raise annual production of the New Ranger at its Pacheco, Argentina factory to 70,000 units in 2025, meeting the growing demand in Brazil and South America. This volume represents a 15% increase compared to 2024 and nearly 30% compared to the year of launch.
The expansion includes hiring 160 new employees at the plant, which underwent a modernization of US$ 660 million, incorporating Industry 4.0 manufacturing technologies and the production of new engines.
