Ford surprises the national market with the return of an acclaimed model. According to data, the Ford Territory 2024 will be available again in the automotive market soon. This news, which seemed like a dream for many, is now a reality, and the vehicle arrives to compete more intensely in the compact SUV sector.
New Ford Car May Be Showcased at Interlagos Car Festival
The model in question is the Territory 2024, which was previously being replaced by another medium SUV, the Equator Sport, following a strategy applied in all countries except China. According to sources, the launch of the Ford Territory in the national market is scheduled for this year and will be presented at the Interlagos Car Festival.
This is a new push by Ford to gain traction in the compact SUV sector, meeting consumer expectations. The new Ford Territory 2024 features robust dimensions, measuring 3.63 meters in length, 1.75 meters in height, and with a wheelbase of 2.72 meters. The model will be placed among the larger models in the category, being longer than the Jeep Compass, which measures 4.46 meters in length.

The automaker has ambitious plans for the Brazilian market, with the new Territory 2024 being one of 10 launches scheduled for this year. The automaker emphasizes the cost-benefit of the model, suggesting it should maintain an affordable price within the sector, estimated at around R$ 230,000.
It is worth noting that the original Ford Territory was launched in August 2020; however, it had a brief stint in Argentina, lasting less than three years in the country. Nevertheless, information indicates that the new generation of the Ford Territory 2024 is already available, and its triumphant return promises to heat up sales in Argentina.
Ford Territory 2024 Delivers 150 Horsepower
From the old version, only the name, the base of the 1.5 turbo engine, and the disc brake system remain. Everything else is new, and the automaker hopes this new generation can improve performance after a lackluster stint of the old model, which sold only 5,401 units in four years.
The interior of the Ford Territory 2024 follows the visual language of other Chinese SUVs and features two interconnected 12.3-inch screens. The center console is high and has two tiers.
The 1.5 turbo engine from the EcoBoost family, with direct injection and variable timing, has the capability to deliver 169 horsepower and 25.5 kgfm of torque. The old CVT transmission has been replaced by a new seven-speed dual-clutch automated unit.
As for performance and consumption, the Ford Territory can go from 0 to 100 km in just 10.3 seconds, being only 0.4 seconds slower than the Jeep. Inmetro reports a consumption of 9.5 km/l in the city and 11.9 km/l on the highway.
Ford Begins Sales of Its First Electric Car in Brazil
Ford will start selling its first electric car in the national market, the Mustang Mach-E, in October. The fully electric sports car is one of the icons of the automaker’s global electrification program. Launched in 2021 in the U.S., the Mustang Mach-E is now the second best-selling in its category in the North American market, with over 90,000 units sold.
In Europe, the model was also well received, reaching the mark of 50,000 units in March. Additionally, it received the highest rating in safety evaluations from EuroNCAP and IHS, two reputable entities in vehicle safety assessment in their respective markets.
