Leaders of the Gas Chain Will Discuss Obstacles and Alternatives for Businesses at a Digital Event After Approval of New Rules That Encourage Competition, Expansion, and Investments of Up to R$ 150 Billion Per Year by 2030

The Government will clarify on June 10, during an online conference, the new investment structuring model, goals, and conditions for groups and consortia of the Gas chain in Brazil. The business meeting will take place from 9 AM to 6 PM and authorities from the ANP, BNDES, Ministry of Mines and Energy, EPE, and decision-making leaders from operators, transporters, industry, consulting firms, and international investors have already confirmed their attendance.

The most anticipated and exclusive forum after the approval of the law will focus on discussing the impacts of the new authorization regime on the gas market, needs for regulatory adjustments, and eliminating bottlenecks to provide the sector with legal security, predictability, respect for contracts, and expansion of the Brazilian network.

In this edition, authorities, the market, industry, investors, investment funds, and highly specialized lawyers will discuss how the formation and opening of the new gas market will occur in the short term, with competition, competitive pricing, and sophistication in regulation in light of the significant demand for industry growth by up to three times.

One Live Day and Seven Gas Business Rounds

It will be a day of a live event and seven intermittent business rounds on the digital platform where speakers will also address controversial issues and challenges, such as ensuring vertical decommissioning and independence between natural gas distribution, transportation, and production companies, as well as harmonization among states. How will the opening of the market with the New Gas Law be organized? How does the sector expect to attract national and international investments and improve the competitiveness of the domestic product, resulting in job creation and lower prices for the end consumer?

Contract specialists will present the entry of new agents, producers, and importers with attractive prices so that the industry gains competitiveness in the new gas transportation system. How does the market assess the new regulation, and will it indeed facilitate the authorization for transporting natural gas through pipelines and for underground storage with third-party access to pipelines and treatment, processing, transportation, and distribution services?
