International Company Voltalia Signed a Solar Power Contract with Vivo Last Tuesday (15)
The French solar and renewable energy company Voltalia signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Vivo, through its subsidiary Helexia, to supply a Brazilian subsidiary of the Spanish company Telefónica AS with electricity, with a capacity of 60MW of solar power.

To fulfill a new contract with the telecommunications company Vivo, Helexia will thus build 16 solar power generation plants in five Brazilian states: Mato Grosso do Sul, Rondônia, São Paulo, Paraná, and Ceará, allocating their outputs to the local mobile phone networks of Vivo.
The company Voltalia has not yet announced the start date for the solar power plants projects in partnership with Vivo, however, it stated that construction will begin soon. A meeting between Voltalia and Vivo is expected to take place soon for the beginning of the first quarter of 2022.

Voltalia’s Contract with Vivo Is the First in Brazil
With the new contract, being the first in Brazil, Helexia thus reaches 165MW of capacity in its portfolio, compared to the year 2019, which is equivalent to 3.2 times more capacity acquired by the French company.
