An unmissable event for sustainable energy professionals and enthusiasts
Between the 16th and 17th of April, the city of Curitiba, in Paraná, will be the stage for the 23rd Regional Distributed Generation Forum in the South region, known as the GD Sul Forum. This annual meeting is recognized as one of the main events in the field of renewable energy, attracting a diverse audience that includes manufacturers, distributors, and experts from Brazil and countries such as Germany, China and Italy. The event will be hosted at the Federation of Industries of the State of Paraná (FIEP), with activities scheduled from 8am to 18pm.
Organized by Grupo FRG Mídias & Eventos in partnership with FIEP and the Institute of Technology of Paraná (TECPAR), the forum aims to discuss challenges, solutions and opportunities in the distributed generation (GD) sector, with a special focus on Paraná and neighboring states such as Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul.
The current renewable energy scenario
Brazil stands out in the generation of renewable energy, having 27,9 gigawatts (GW) of installed capacity, according to data from the National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL). In this context, the South region emerges as the second largest producer, with Paraná leading the generation of solar energy. The state has 2,6 GW of installed capacity, reflecting an investment of approximately R$11,7 billion since 2012, in addition to the creation of more than 70 thousand jobs.
- The world's largest renewable energy project will be bigger than 47 countries: With 3.000 wind turbines of up to 20 MW and 60 million solar panels
- More taxes, consumer! Federal government announces a 160% increase in import taxes on solar panels, threatening the clean energy market and jobs
- Just Energy Transition: The Key to a Sustainable Global Future
- Billion-dollar investment and 30 THOUSAND jobs! Northeast ready for radical transformation with colossal investment of MORE than R$522 BILLION that promises to change the region's status in the Brazilian economy
In addition to the economic impact, Paraná is also an example of sustainability, with more than 200 solar energy connections spread across all its municipalities, highlighting the state's commitment to distributed energy generation.
Innovations and opportunities at the GD Sul Forum
The GD Sul Forum is not just an event to discuss the current state of renewable energy; It is also a platform for innovation and knowledge exchange. With more than 20 panels led by experts, the event covers everything from the new GD scenario in Brazil to sales techniques and business opportunities in the sector, promoting a rich environment for networking and professional development.
