Curitiba Resident Will Use R$ 100 Thousand Prize to Pay Off Accumulated Debts After Years of Two Jobs
51-year-old Curitiba resident Izabel Azevedo won a R$ 100 thousand prize in the Nota Paraná program draw, but only discovered the amount after the state government team visited her home. Afraid of scams, she ignored calls and messages for more than 15 days.
Izabel works as a cleaner in the morning and a sales promoter in the afternoon. She stated that the R$ 100 thousand prize arrived at the time she needed it most and will be used entirely to pay off debts. The case was reported by RPC, a Globo affiliate in Paraná, on Wednesday (24).
Luck Was Blocked as a Precaution Against Scams
The cleaner recounted that she even blocked phone numbers that tried to inform her about the draw. The program coordinator, Marta Gambini, explained that consumers’ caution is understandable, as the R$ 100 thousand prize from Nota Paraná is often used as bait in scams. Therefore, it is stressed that participants confirm winning tickets only through official channels, such as the program’s app.

How to Confirm if You Have Won a Prize
For those participating in Nota Paraná, it is possible to check if you have won by accessing the official program app. The government of Paraná warns that it never asks for personal data, payments, or clicks on suspicious links. The only official contacts include phone numbers from the Secretary of Finance and verified WhatsApp.
Cases like Izabel’s reinforce the importance of heightened vigilance: both to avoid falling for scams and not to miss out on a genuine R$ 100 thousand prize.
